This piece was designed to cover-up a huge brick fireplace that extended wall to wall. The two display cabinets are actually sitting atop the hearth of the fireplace and create a seamless wall of built-ins.
The client wanted to incorporate the beautiful hand-carved antique slate surround she had and after some minor fitting and shaping it turned out to be the icing on the cake.
Tempered Glass doors were constructed of solid Maple and are mounted using european style hinges.
The 42" Flat Panel T.V. was framed in soild Maple and all wires run internally through the cabinet.
